It is the best-preserved imperial garden and palace, often referred to as the "Museum of Royal Gardens." Centered around the Tower of Buddhist Incense, the palace complex includes over a hundred scenic buildings and more than 20 courtyards, covering over 70,000 square meters of ancient architecture. These structures, including pavilions, terraces, towers, and halls, showcase the grandeur and elegance of royal gardens.

Introduction to the Temple of Heaven: Originally named the "Altar of Heaven and Earth," the Temple of Heaven was built in the 18th year of Emperor Yongle’s reign during the Ming Dynasty. It was later renamed the "Temple of Heaven" and served as the sacred site where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties performed rituals to pray for a good harvest and rain. As the largest surviving ancient sacrificial building complex in China, the Temple of Heaven is surrounded by inner and outer walls. The main ancient structures are concentrated within the inner altar, consisting of the Circular Mound Altar, the Altar for Prayers for Abundant Harvests, and the Palace of Abstinence. With multiple gates set around the complex, its intricate design and meticulous construction highlight the solemnity and grandeur of ancient imperial sacrificial architecture.
